Patrick is a corporate and environmental law specialist. Patrick’s experience includes over two decades of professional experience in the Asia Pacific region, including legal practice, international development, and investment banking, with a sound understanding of the challenges pertinent to the nexus of climate policies, mechanisms and markets in the Asia Pacific region.

Increasingly climate risks and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) themes influence policies and markets globally. Failure to effectively manage these issues can result in a variety of consequences for clients. Patrick’s well-rounded knowledge of climate law and ESG allows him to advise from a broad perspective and deliver commercially practical outcomes for his clients. Patrick advises clients, including corporates, governments and multilateral institutions, concerning these risks, including the impact on directors’ duties and corporate disclosure obligations. Patrick’s philosophy and approach to law embody a commitment to sustainable development combined with delivering meaningful results for clients by providing constructive and well-considered professional advice.

Patrick has post-graduate qualifications in finance and environmental law and completed his PhD at UNSW, examining the nexus of international climate law and the development discourse. These qualifications combined with his practical experience enable him to provide a perspective on transactions from more than just a legal point of view, creating innovative solutions with an appreciation of the economic and development disparities in the region and the dynamic changes within climate law.
